Percussion alum and composer Javier Diaz (MM ’03) performed traditional Afro-Cuban pieces as well as original compositions and percussion improvisations in the June Noble Larkin Lobby to honor the centenary of bandleader, songwriter, and one-time Juilliard Extension student Tito Puente.

Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning composer and pianist Kris Bowers (BM '10, MM '12, jazz studies) performed “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” with vocalist Nicole Odremán (MM ’24, jazz studies) in the June Noble Larkin Lobby.
